Add butter to a sauce pan preheated to medium heat and let melt. Add onions and garlic, stir and cook for 3 minutes. Pour in chicken broth and whisk well; bring to boil, add pumpkin puree, peppers and sauce, and all ingredients up to the end. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to low and keep simmering until it’s time to serve.
