CHOOSE

Buy only from a trusted butcher or chop. Choose the cut based on your end goal: minced for pies and burgers, sirloin or rib cuts for roasts, fillet or rump steaks for quick dishes.

STORE

Airtight and vacuum-packed beef - on the bottom shelf in the fridge, in the packaging, following the use-by date.

Loose beef – check the use-by date, then remove the package, place in a bowl and cover with plastic wrap or a lid. It will keep for 2 to 4 days.

Minced beef should be cooked within the day of purchase.
