  1. Preheat the oven to 350° F (175° C/Gas mark 4).
  2. In a skillet, cook beef over medium-high heat for 10 minutes, until browned. Drain excess fat. Add beans, cream of mushroom soup, and diced onion.
  3. Pour the mixture into a 2-quart casserole dish. Top the beef mixture with shredded cheese. Spread the potatoes on top. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup cheese. 
  4. Bake for 30 minutes, until the cheese is melted and golden. Enjoy your Shepherd's Pie!
