DIRECTIONS
  1. Preheat oven to 350° F (180° C). Prepare a 9x9-inch baking pan by greasing it.
  2. Measure 1 cup all-purpose flour and add 1/2 tsp baking powder, 1/8 tsp baking soda, and 1/2 tsp salt. Sift. Add 1/2 cup walnuts. Mix. 
  3. Mix brown sugar and butter. Let it cool slightly. Add egg and vanilla extract. Mix. Add the flour mixture, a little at a time. Mix until combined. 
  4. Spread into the greased pan. Sprinkle 1 cup chocolate chips on the top of the batter. Bake for 20 minutes (use a toothpick to check for doneness: insert it in the center and check if it comes out clean). Enjoy your Blonde Brownies!
