DIRECTIONS
  1. Drain cherries. Set them on paper towels.  
  2. Mix butter and syrup until smooth in a medium bowl. Add confectioners' sugar. Knead to form the dough.
  3. Wrap cherries in 1 tsp of dough each. Chill to stiffen. 
  4. In a saucepan over low heat, melt chocolate confectioners' coating. Dip each cherry in the coating and arrange them on waxed paper-lined sheets.
  5. Chill. In an airtight container, store in a cool place.
