Dark meat chicken pieces
1 (14.5 oz) can, peeled
Sweet Italian sausage
3 (4 oz) links, sliced
1 cup, chopped
1/2 lb, sliced
5 cloves, crushed
Easy Coq au Vin
- Heat oil in a skillet. Add 1/2 of the garlic to the skillet.
- Season all-purpose flour with seasoning. Dredge chicken in the flour. Add the chicken pieces to the skillet and cook for 5 min.
- Add sweet Italian sausage. Cook for about 3 minutes. Add chopped onion, fresh mushrooms, sliced carrots, rosemary, and garlic. Stir. Add red wine and peeled tomatoes. Stir well.
- Allow to simmer for 25 min, covered. Season with salt and pepper. Continue cooking for 10 min. Allow it to cool for 10 min. Serve and enjoy your Coq au Vin!
