6 plum tomatoes, chopped

  1. Heat the oven on broiler setting.
  2. Take a large bowl and add the next 8 ingredients to it (from tomatoes to pepper). Mix well and allow the mixture to sit for 10 minutes.
  3. Cut the French baguette into ¾-inch slices and arrange them in a single layer on a baking sheet.
  4. Broil baguette slices for 1 to 2 minutes or until slightly browned.
  5. Spread the tomato mixture on baguette slices and top with cheese.
  6. Broil for 5 minutes or until the cheese melts.
