DIRECTIONS
  1. Preheat oven to 350° F (175° C). Prepare a 9x13-inch pan by greasing and flouring it.
  2. Combine sugar and chopped apples in a medium-sized bowl. Sift together all-purpose flour, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Combine vegetable oil, beaten eggs, and vanilla extract. Add apples and sugar. Mix. Add the flour mixture and then the walnuts. Pour the mixture into the pan. Make sure to spread evenly.
  4. Bake for 45 minutes (check for doneness: the top of the cake should spring back when touched). Serve and enjoy your Apple Cake!
