DIRECTIONS
  1. Reserving about 3/4 cup of the salmon liquid, drain the salmon and then flake it.
  2. Melt butter in a skillet. Add onion. Cook until tender.
  3. Mix onion with the salmon liquid, fresh parsley, mustard, 1/3 of the crumbs, eggs, and fish in a bowl. Shape into 6 patties. Coat the patties in crumbs.
  4. Melt the shortening in a skillet. Add salmon patties. Cook until browned on both sides. Enjoy!
