DIRECTIONS
  1. Simmer diced tomatoes and tomato juice in a stock pot over medium heat for 30 minutes. Transfer the tomato mixture to a bowl. Add basil leaves. Puree the tomato mixture and return it to the stock pot.
  2. Cook over medium heat. Stir in the cream and butter. Season the soup with salt and pepper to taste. Stir until the butter is melted. Do not bring to a boil! Serve and enjoy your Tomato Soup with Basil!
