DIRECTIONS
  1. Prepare the bread. Put a slice of white American on one bread slice and a slice of yellow American on the opposite bread slice.
  2. Top each side with a slice of sweet ham.
  3. Meanwhile, cook one egg over easy. Remove the egg from the pan and gently bring the sides of the sandwich together. Don’t press down not to break the yolk!
  4. Heat a skillet over a medium-low heat. Top a sandwich with a butter pat and place it, butter side down, in the skillet.
  5. Loosely cover the sandwich with aluminum foil and cook until the sandwich is browned and the cheese is melted.
