  1. While preheating oven to 350°F/175°C, grease muffin cups or line muffin liners with paper.
  2. Mix chopped orange, orange juice, dates, egg and sugar in a large bowl. Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt in a separate bowl. Blend together the flour mixture and the orange mixture. Fold in sour cream. Then fill in the muffin cups with the batter.
  3. Bake for about 15, 20 minutes. Insert a toothpick into a muffin. If it comes out clean, the muffins are ready. Remove the muffins from the pan and cool before serving.
