  1. Combine chicken broth and water in a pot. Bring to a simmer.
  2. Melt butter (2 tbsp) in a large skillet. Add chopped onion. Cook for 5 minutes, or until softened. Add minced garlic. Cook for 1 minute, or until fragrant.
  3. Add rice to the skillet. Stir. Season with salt (1 ½ tsp). Cook for 4 minutes, or until toasted.
  4. Add dry white wine. Bring to a boil. Cook for 30 seconds, or until the wine is mostly evaporated.
  5. Over medium, add ½ cup chicken broth several times. Before adding more, stir until fully absorbed. Repeat until the rice is al dente (20 minutes).
  6. Remove from heat. Add butter (2 tbsp). Add lemon juice and cheese. Season with salt and ground black pepper to taste. Garnish with chives, basil, and more cheese. Serve and enjoy your Creamy Rice!
