Although classic variant of this recipe is cooked with lamb, it tastes equally good with ground beef and herbs as well.
INGREDIENTS

Lean ground beef
1 lb.
Onion
½ cup, chopped
Celery
½ cup, chopped
Condensed vegetable soup
1 (10.5 oz.) can
Dried thyme
½ tsp.
Potatoes
3 cups, cooked, mashed
Colby longhorn cheese
1 cup, shredded
DIRECTIONS
- Heat the oven to 350° F/175° C/ Gas Mark 4.
- Lightly grease a 2-quart baking pan.
- Prepare a large skillet. Add ground beef, onion, and celery. Cook them over a medium-high heat or until juices run clear.
- Drain the mixture and pour it into the baking pan.
- Add vegetable soup and thyme and top the mixture with mashed potatoes.
- Bake for 20 minutes, then sprinkle with cheese and bake for 5 minutes more.
