INGREDIENTS
Servings: 4
Vegetable oil
2 tbsp.
Chopped onion
1/2 cup
4 (1/2-inch thick) pork chops
Salt
1/2 teaspoon
Ground black pepper to taste
2 apples, peeled, cored and sliced
Brown sugar
2 tbsp.
Ground mustard
1/2 tsp.
Ground cloves
1/8 tsp.
Hot water
3/4 cup
DIRECTIONS
  1. Preheat oven to 375°F /190°C/Gas Mark 5.
  2. Heat up oil in large skillet. Sauté onion in oil for 1 minute until translucent. Remove onion and set aside. Brown pork chops on both sides in the skillet in the same oil used to cook onions.
  3. Transfer chops to an 8x12 inch baking dish and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cover the chops with the apples and cooked onion.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine brown sugar, mustard, cloves and water. Pour over chops. Cover and bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 45 minutes. Enjoy!
