Try this super easy and moist applesauce cake - a perfect idea for National Applesauce Cake Day!
INGREDIENTS

Raisins
1 cup, coarsely chopped
All-purpose flour
1 ½ cups
Cinnamon
1 tsp., ground
Ground cloves
½ tsp.
Salt
1 tsp.
Butter
½ cups, softened
White sugar
1 cup
Baking soda
1 tsp.
Applesauce
1 cup, unsweetened
DIRECTIONS
- Heat the oven to 350° F/175° C/Gas Mark 4.
- Prepare a 9-inch square pan, grease and flour it.
- Mix raisins and flour in a medium-sized bowl, add cinnamon and cloves, and set aside.
- Combine butter and sugar in a large bowl and beat up until light and fluffy.
- Mix baking soda and applesauce, add this mixture to the creamed butter, and stir well.
- Add the flour mixture to the applesauce mixture and mix until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the pan and bake for 40 to 50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
