Egg whites

Confectioners sugar 
2 1/4 cups
DIRECTIONS
  1. Preheat oven to 200° F (95° C). Use butter and flour to prepare a baking sheet. 
  2. Whip egg whites until foamy with a mixer in a metal bowl. Whipping at medium speed, add confectioner's sugar a little at a time. Mix until the egg mixture is stiff and shiny. 
  3. Transfer the egg and sugar mixture to a pastry bag. Use a star tip to pipe the mixture out on the sheet. 
  4. Place the French meringues in oven (use a spoon handle in the door to not to let it close).
  5. Bake the meringues for 3 hours (until dry). Let them cool before transferring them to an airtight container. Store at room temperature. Enjoy your chewy meringues!
