Chicken: Baked Chicken Nuggets
INGREDIENTS
Servings: 4
4 chicken breasts, skinless, boneless
2 eggs , beaten
Water
1 tbsp
Fresh parsley
1 tbsp, chopped
Dried thyme
½ tbsp
Crushed red pepper flakes
1/8 tsp
Dried bread crumbs
½ cup, seasoned
Wheat germ - ½ cup
Dried basil
1 tsp
Ground black pepper
1 tsp
Vegetable oil
1 tbsp
DIRECTIONS
- Turn the oven on and set the temperature to 425°F/220°C/Gas Mark 7. Take a baking sheet and sprinkle it with non-stick cooking spray.
- Remove any fat from chicken breasts and cut them into cube pieces 1 inch long.
- Beat eggs mixed with water in a bowl. Then add chicken.
- Combine the spices, bread crumbs and wheat germ. Whisk the mixture in the oil with a fork and mix evenly. Put seasoning mixture and the chicken pieces into a resealable plastic bag.
- Distribute coated chicken pieces on the prepared baking sheet and place them into the oven. After 10 minutes turn the chicken pieces over and bake 5 minutes more.
