These addictive egg rolls are the perfect side dish or appetizer!
INGREDIENTS
Servings: 8
Ground pork
1 lb
Ground ginger
1 tsp
Garlic powder
1 tsp
Carrots
2 oz, shredded
Egg roll wrappers
8 (7-inch square)
Sesame seeds
2 tbsps
Peanut oil
1 quart
All-purpose flour
2 tbsps
Water
2 tbsps
Cabbage
2 cups, shredded
DIRECTIONS
- In a bowl, season ground pork with ground ginger and garlic powder. Mix. In a skillet, cook the pork until the meat is no longer pink.
- Heat peanut oil over medium high heat in a separate skillet.
- Meanwhile, in a bowl, combine all-purpose flour and water. In another bowl, combine shredded cabbage, carrots, and pork to make the filling.
- Place 1 wrapper with a corner pointed toward you. Spoon 1/4 cup of the filling onto the wrapper. Fold corner up over the filling. Fold left and right corners toward the center of the Egg Roll. Continue to roll. To seal, brush the final corner with the flour and water mixture.
- Fry the Egg Rolls in the heated oil until golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Serve and enjoy!
