INGREDIENTS

Eggs

Milk
1 cup
White sugar
2/3 cup
Unsweetened cocoa powder
1/3 cup
Baking powder
1/8 tsp
Salt
¼ tsp
Bread
8 slices
Butter for the skillet
DIRECTIONS
  1. In a large bowl, whisk milk with sugar, eggs, cocoa, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Lightly butter a heavy skillet. Let heat over medium heat.
  3. Place bread slices one by one into the egg mixture, leave for 20 seconds per side in order to let soak well.
  4. Cook toasts in the skillet for about 3 to 4 minutes per side.
  5. Ready toasts are neither shiny nor wet when cut in half.
  6. Serve with your favorite toppings.
