INGREDIENTS

Butter
1 ½ cups
Cream cheese
1 package (8 ounce)
White sugar
3 cups
Vanilla extract
1 tbsp
Almond extract
1 tsp
Eggs

DIRECTIONS
  1. Heat the oven to 325°F/165°C/Gas Mark 3.
  2. Take a 10-inch tube pan and grease it.
  3. Whisk together the first three ingredients (from butter to sugar) until smooth.
  4. Add the extracts of vanilla and almond and stir well.
  5. Stir in the flour and the eggs alternately. Start with the flour and end with it, too.
  6. Put the batter into the tube pan.
  7. Cook at 325°F/165°C/Gas Mark 3 for 1 hour 15 min. Check if the cake is done inserting a toothpick into its center. Remove the pound cake from the oven when the toothpick comes out clean.
