INGREDIENTS
Servings: 4
Uncooked white rice
3/4 cup
Milk
2 cups, divided
Golden raisins
2/3 cup (optional)
Butter
1 tbsp
Vanilla extract
1/2 tsp
White sugar
1/3 cup
Salt
1/4 tsp
Egg
1, beaten
DIRECTIONS
- Pour 1 1/2 cups water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Add rice. Reduce heat to low. Simmer the rice for 20 min, covered.
- Combine 1 1/2 cups rice, white sugar, 1 1/2 cups milk, and salt in a saucepan. Cook over medium for 15 min (until creamy). Add 1/2 cup milk, egg, and raisins (optional). Stir. Continue cooking for 2 min, stirring. Remove the rice pudding from heat. Add 1 tbsp butter and 1/2 tsp vanilla extract. Stir well. Enjoy!
