Pork Chops with Caramelized Onion

Caramelized onions add very special flavor to classic pork chops! To make the whole meal even more delicious, serve them with parsley potatoes.

INGREDIENTS
Servings: 4
Vegetable oil
1 tbsp.
Pork loin chops
4 (4 oz.) , 0.5 inch thick
Salt
3 tsp.
Ground black pepper
2 tsp.
Onion
1, medium-sized, cut into strips
Water
1 cup
DIRECTIONS
  1. Use 2 tsp. seasoning salt and 1 tsp. pepper (or to taste) to rub pork chops.
  2. Prepare a skillet, add oil, and heat it over a medium heat. Roast pork chops on both sides until brown.
  3. Add water and onions, cover with a lid, and simmer for about 20 minutes.
  4. Turn over the chops and season them with the rest of salt and pepper.
  5. Cover again and cook the water evaporates and onions become light- or medium-brown.
  6. Remove the chops to a plate and serve with onions on top.
