Crispy on the outside, firm on the inside, these hash browns are simply fantastic!
INGREDIENTS
Servings: 4
Russet potatoes
2, shredded
Egg
1
Oil for frying
1 cup
Onion
1/2, chopped
All-purpose flour
1/4 cup
Salt
to taste
Pepper
to taste
DIRECTIONS
- Rinse potatoes. Drain, squeeze dry. Then, in a bowl, combine potatoes, all-purpose flour, onion, and egg until evenly distributed.
- In a large skillet, heat 1/4 inch of oil over medium-high heat. Place potatoes in the hot oil (1/2-inch thick layer). Cook the potatoes for about 5 min, until browned on the bottom. Flip over and continue cooking until the other side is browned.
- Drain on paper towels. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve and enjoy your Hash Browns!
