Old-Fashioned Hash Browns

INGREDIENTS
Servings: 4
Russet potatoes 
2, shredded
Egg 
1
Oil for frying
1 cup
Onion 
1/2, chopped
All-purpose flour 
1/4 cup
Salt
to taste
Pepper 
to taste
DIRECTIONS
  1. Rinse potatoes. Drain, squeeze dry. Then, in a bowl, combine potatoes, all-purpose flour, onion, and egg until evenly distributed.
  2. In a large skillet, heat 1/4 inch of oil over medium-high heat. Place potatoes in the hot oil (1/2-inch thick layer). Cook the potatoes for about 5 min, until browned on the bottom. Flip over and continue cooking until the other side is browned. 
  3. Drain on paper towels. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve and enjoy your Hash Browns!
