This refreshing Pear Pie pairs up nicely with ice cream or yogurt sauce.

INGREDIENTS
Servings: 8
Pie crust
2 portions 
White sugar
½ cup
All-purpose flour
3 tbsp.
Salt
¼ tsp.
Ground cinnamon
1 tsp.
Lemon zest
1 tsp.
Pears
5  cups, peeled, sliced
Butter
1 tbsp.
Lemon juice
1 tbsp.
DIRECTIONS
  1. If you want to make your pie crust from scratch, get the recipe! Or use store-bought pie crust - whichever suits you best!
  2. Preheat oven to 450°F/230°C/Gas Mark 8. Mix sugar with flour, lemon zest, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Line a baking pan with one portion of the crust.
  4. Layer pear slices in the pan, topping each layer with some of the sugar mixture and dots of butter on the top layer.
  5. Sprinkle with lemon juice and cover with the other crust. Seal the edges , cut slits in the center to give vent to the steam.
  6. Bake for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to 350°F/180°C/Gas Mark 4. Let sit in the oven for 35 to 40 minutes.
