Rich, green-tea-flavored muffins are a must-try
INGREDIENTS

All-purpose flour
1 2/3 cups
Salt
½ tsp.
Baking powder
1 tsp.
Matcha (green tea powder)
1 tbsp. or more, to taste
White sugar
½ cup
1 egg
Melted butter
1/3 cup
Milk
1 cup
Walnuts
¼ cup, chopped
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat oven to 350°F/180°C/Gas Mark 4. Prepare 12 muffin cupe: spray with cooking spray or use paper liners.
- In a large bowl, mix flour with baking powder, salt, sugar, and matcha.
- In another bowl, beat egg with butter and milk.
- Combine the dry mixture and the moist mixture, mix until just incorporated.
- Gently fold in walnuts.
- Fill the muffin cups with batter up to two-thirds.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until the muffins pass the toothpick test. Let sit in the muffin cups for 5 minutes; transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
