Deep-fried chicken with a Southern taste and crispy coating will surely make this chicken recipe different (in a good way) from others!

Chicken thighs

DIRECTIONS
- Put chicken pieces (thighs and drumsticks) in a large bowl, cover them with water, season with salt, and mix well. Cover the chicken and leave it in a fridge for at least 8 hours. Thoroughly rinse chicken.
- Combine buttermilk, egg, and 1 tbsp. seasoning mix in a large bowl. Mix well.
- Place chicken thighs and drumsticks into the buttermilk mixture and keep it in the fridge for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
- Prepare a deep-fryer or a large saucepan, add oil, and heat it to 375° F/190° C/Gas Mark 5.
- Combine flour and 2 tbsp. chicken mix in a shallow bowl and mix well.
- Remove chicken from the buttermilk sauce, shake off the excess buttermilk, and press each piece into flour.
- Put chicken pieces in the hot oil gently, 3-4 pieces at a time, and fry for about 12 to 15 minutes per batch, or until golden brown.
- Place chicken thighs and drumsticks to a rack set over paper towels to get rid of excess oil.
