INGREDIENTS
Servings: 6
Pork sausage
16 oz
10 eggs
Milk
3 cups
Dry mustard
2 tsp.
Salt
1 tsp.
Cubed bread
6 cups
Cheddar cheese
2 cups, shredded
Black pepper
½ tsp.
DIRECTIONS
  1. While preheating oven to 325°F/170°C/Gas Mark 3, cook sausage in a skillet over medium heat, stirring and breaking into crumbles until completely browned.
  2. Break eggs into a large bowl, beat lightly. Add milk, salt, and mustard, whisk well.
  3. Butter a 9x13 inch baking dish. Spread 3 cups of bread on the bottom in one even layer; season with ¼ tsp. pepper. Add half of each of these ingredients: sausage, cheese, green onions, mushrooms, tomatoes. Repeat.
  4. Finally, top with the milk-egg mixture, make sure you distribute it evenly.
  5. Bake (without cover) for about 55 minutes. If the top starts to burn, cover with aluminum foil at any point. The eggs in the well-cooked casserole will be set.
