Simply delicious and quick Peppered Bacon and Tomato Linguine will be a feast for your taste buds!
INGREDIENTS
Servings: 6
Peppered bacon, diced
1/2 pound
Chopped green onion
2 tbsp.
Minced garlic
2 tsp.
Diced tomatoes
1 (14.5 ounce) can
Dried basil
1 tsp.
Salt
1 tsp.
Ground black pepper to taste
Linguine pasta
1 (16 ounce) package
Grated Parmesan cheese
3 tbsp.
DIRECTIONS
- Place bacon in the cold skillet. Set the heat to medium-high heat and fry until browned and crisp. Drain, reserving drippings, and set aside.
- Fry, stirring constantly, green onion and garlic in bacon drippings over medium heat for one minute. Add tomatoes, basil, salt and ground black pepper; reduce the heat and let simmer for 5 minutes.
- Meanwhile, bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook until al dente (for about 8 to 10 minutes); drain.
- In a serving dish, mix together hot pasta with sauce and bacon. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
