INGREDIENTS
Servings: 6
Bacon
12 slices
Swiss cheese, shredded
1 cup
Pastry for a 9-inch single-crust pie
Onion, minced
1/3 cup
Eggs, beaten
4 eggs
White sugar
1/4 tsp
Cayenne pepper
1/8 tsp
Light cream
2 cups
Salt
3/4 tsp
DIRECTIONS
  1. Preheat oven to 425° F (220° C).
  2. Place 12 bacon slices in a skillet. Cook bacon over medium-high heat until crisp. Drain bacon slices using paper towels. Chop. Sprinkle chopped bacon, Swiss cheese, and minced onion into the pastry shell. Whisk together beaten eggs, salt, light cream, sugar, and pepper. Pour the egg mixture into the shell.
  3. Bake for 15 min. Reduce heat to 300° F (150° C). Bake for 30 min more (use a knife to test for doneness: insert it 1 inch from the edge and see if it comes out clean). Let sit 10 minutes. Serve. Enjoy your Quiche Lorraine with Bacon!
