Seasoned with pepper, jalapeno, and garlic, these slow cooker refried beans are so healthy and easy to make!
INGREDIENTS

Fresh ground black pepper
1 3/4 tsps
Ground cumin
1/8 tsp (optional)
Water
9 cups
Dry pinto beans
3 cups, rinsed
Fresh jalapeno pepper
1/2, seeded and chopped
Onion
1, peeled and halved
Garlic
2 tbsps, minced
Salt
5 tbsps
DIRECTIONS
- Place halved onion and pinto beans in a slow cooker. Add jalapeno pepper, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and cumin. Add water and stir. Cook on High for 8 hours. If needed, add more water.
- Strain the cooked beans, reserving the liquid. Mash the beans. Add the liquid to reach the desired consistency. Serve and enjoy your Refried Beans!
