INGREDIENTS
Servings: 4
Butter
2 tablespoons  
Rye bread
8 slices
Deli sliced corned beef 
8 slices
Swiss cheese
8 slices
Sauerkraut, drained
1 cup
Thousand island dressing
1/2 cup
DIRECTIONS
  1. Preheat a large skillet or griddle on medium heat.
  2. Spread some butter over one side of bread slices, then, over non-buttered sides. spread some Thousand Island dressing. On 4 bread slices, place these layers:
    • 1 slice Swiss cheese
    • 2 slices corned beef
    • 1/4 cup sauerkraut
    • Second slice of Swiss cheese
    • Top with remaining bread slices, buttered sides out.
  3. Arrange sandwiches over frying pan/griddle and grill until both sides are golden brown, and slightly crispy, for about 15 minutes per side. Serve hot.This twist of a traditional
