INGREDIENTS
Servings: 8
Garlic
3 heads
Olive oil
2 tbsp.
Italian bread
1 (1 lb.) loaf
Butter
½ cup
Parsley
1 tbsp., fresh, chopped (optional)
Parmesan cheese
2 tbsp., grated (optional)
DIRECTIONS
  1. Heat the oven to 350° F/175° C/Gas Mark 4.
  2. Take garlic heads, slice the tops off them so that you can see the top of each clove.
  3. Take a baking pan, place garlic on it, drizzle with olive oil, and bake for 30 minutes or until soft.
  4. Set oven to broil, halve the bread loaf horizontally, and put it on the baking pan, cut-side up.
  5. Take a medium-sized bowl and squeeze garlic cloves from their skins in it.
  6. Add all the remaining ingredients and stir until well-blended.
  7. Spread the mixture onto the cut sides of bread and broil for 5 minutes or until toasted.
