INGREDIENTS

Semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup
White sugar
 1/2 cup
Corn syrup
 3 tbsps
Rum
1/2 cup
Vanilla wafers
 2 1/2 cups, crushed
Walnuts
 1 cup, chopped
Confectioners sugar
 1/3 cup
DIRECTIONS
  1. Take a shallow microwave-safe bowl. Put the chocolate chips into the bowl and heat them in the microwave for 1 minute. Then stir the chocolate thoroughly. Keep on heating the chocolate at 15-20 second intervals, stirring between each. When the chocolate is completely melted, add sugar and corn syrup, stir thoroughly. Then add rum, crushed vanilla wafers, and chopped walnuts. Stir well. Cover tightly and place in the fridge.
  2. When the chocolate mixture is chilled, shape small balls. Roll balls in confectioner's sugar for a sweet coating. Store the rum balls in a tightly covered container for about a week before serving.
