Replace lamb with beef to cook this quick version of Cottage Pie!
INGREDIENTS
Servings: 8
5 potatoes, peeled, quartered
Ground beef
1 lb., lean
Mushrooms
1 (4 oz.) can, sliced
Mixed vegetables
1 (15 oz.) can
Condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 (10.75 oz.) can
Condensed cream of celery soup
1 (10.75 oz.) can
Salt
to taste
Pepper
to taste
Butter
3 tbsp.
DIRECTIONS
- Heat the oven to 350° F/175° C/Gas Mark 4.
- Spray a 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray.
- Pour water in a large pot, season it with salt, bring the water to a boil, and add potatoes. Cook for 15 minutes or until tender.
- Drain potatoes reserving a bit of the liquid, mash them, and set aside.
- Add ground beef to a large skillet and cook over a medium-high heat until brown.
- Add the next six ingredients (from mushrooms to pepper), heat well, pour into the baking dish, cover with potatoes, and add dots of butter.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until the whole mixture is bubbly and hot.
