INGREDIENTS
Servings: 12
Pork roast
2 ½ lb, boneless
Strong brewed coffee
2 cups
Worcestershire sauce
2 tbsp
Bourbon whiskey
2 tbsp
Garlic
10 cloves
Beef broth
3 cups
Water
1 cup
1 small onion, diced
Red pepper flakes
1 pinch
Barbeque sauce
2 (12 oz) bottles
Salt
to taste
Ground black pepper
to taste
DIRECTIONS
  1. Season the pork roast with salt and pepper. Put the seasoned roast, coffee, Worcestershire sauce, bourbon whiskey, garlic, beef broth, water, onion, and red pepper flakes in a slow cooker set to LOW. Cook 3 to 4 hours. Spoon garlic cloves out and mash with a fork. Place the mashed garlic back in the slow cooker. Cook 3 to 4 hours more.
  2. Put the roast on a cutting board and discard liquid. Use two forks to shred the roast into strands. Transfer the meat to the slow cooker. Mix in the barbeque sauce and cook on LOW for 1 to 3 hours.
