Carnitas simmered in chicken broth and spices makes a great filling for homemade tacos!

INGREDIENTS
Servings: 10
Boneless pork shoulder roast 
1 (4 lb) 
Ground cumin 
1 tsp
Crumbled dried oregano 
1/2 tsp
Ground coriander 
1/2 tsp
Bay leaves 
Chicken broth 
2 cups
Salt 
1 tsp
Ground cinnamon 
1/4 tsp
Garlic powder 
1 tsp
DIRECTIONS
  1. In a bowl, mix salt, cumin, oregano, garlic powder, cinnamon, and coriander. Coat pork with the mixture.
  2. Put bay leaves in a slow cooker. Place the coated pork on top of the bay leaves. Carefully pour chicken broth around the pork. 
  3. Cook the pork on Low for about 10 hours (until the meat shreds with a fork with ease). Turn after it has cooked for 5 hours!
  4. Remove the meat from slow cooker and shred it using forks. Enjoy your authentic Carnitas!
