Lean ground beef
2 pounds
Dry onion soup mix
1 (1 ounce) envelope
Italian seasoned bread crumbs
1/2 cup
Milk
1/4 cup
All-purpose flour
1/4 cup
Vegetable oil
2 tablespoons
Condensed cream of chicken soup
2 (10.75 ounce) cans
Dry au jus mix
1 (1 ounce) packet
Water
3/4 cup
DIRECTIONS
- Combine the ground beef, onion soup mix, bread crumbs, and milk in a large bowl. Mix well using your hands. After that, shape into 8 patties.
- In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Dredge the patties in flour to coat. Quickly brown on both sides in the skillet.
- Put the patties in the slow cooker stacking them like a pyramid. Combine the cream of chicken soup, au jus mix, and water in a medium bowl.
- Pour the mixture over the meat. Cook on the low setting for 5 hours, until the beef is well done.
