These budget-friendly, crispy and tender chicken livers will win your heart!
INGREDIENTS

Chicken livers
1 lb.
1 egg
Milk
1/2 cup
All-purpose flour
1 cup
Garlic powder
1 tbsp.
Salt and pepper to taste
Vegetable oil for frying
1 quart
DIRECTIONS
- Put chicken livers in a colander, and rinse with water. Pat dry with kitchen towel. Beat together egg and milk in a shallow bowl. Place the flour, garlic powder, salt and pepper in a plastic ziplocked bag, and shake to combine.
- Heat oil in a deep-fryer or large saucepan to 375°F /190°C.
- Dip livers in the bowl with egg mixture, then, one at a time, place livers in the ziplocked bag and shake the bag well to coat each liver.
- Carefully place the coated livers, a few at a time, into the hot oil, watching not to splash the oil. Cover the pan of oil with a frying screen to protect yourself from hot oil splatters. Deep fry the livers until crisp and golden brown, 5 to 6 minutes.
