Treat yourself to something summery delicious! This rich no-raw-eggs ice cream is the thing you need!
INGREDIENTS

Sugar
¾ cup
Milk
1 cup
Salt
¼ tsp.
Cocoa powder - 2 tbsp., unsweetened
3 egg yolks, lightly beaten
Semisweet chocolate
2 oz., chopped
Heavy cream
2 cups
Vanilla extract
1 tsp.
DIRECTIONS
- Add the first four ingredients (from sugar to cocoa powder) to a saucepan and heat them over a medium heat stirring continuously. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
- Place egg yolks in a small bowl and add about ½ cup of the warmed liquid, then return to the saucepan. Heat the mixture until it thickens but don’t boil.
- Remove from heat, add chocolate and stir the mixture until the chocolate melts.
- Chill a bowl, pour the mixture in it, and keep it in the fridge for about 2 hours.
- When the chocolate mixture has cooled, add the cream and vanilla.
- Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and freeze it.
