INGREDIENTS
Servings: 1
1/2 fresh ripe tomato
¼ peeled white onion
Tomato-vegetable juice cocktail
½ cup
Salt
to taste
Pepper
to taste
DIRECTIONS
  1. Puree ½ tomato with ¼ white onion.
  2. Place the tomato-onion puree into a saucepan; add juice, and a pinch of salt. Bring to a simmer.
  3. Taste, add more salt, if necessary. Let simmer for 10 minutes.
  4. Season with freshly ground pepper, stir, and transfer to a mug.
  5. Enjoy with a grilled cheese sandwich or fresh bread.
