INGREDIENTS
Servings: 6
Extra-virgin olive oil 
2 tbsp
Cheddar cheese 
1 cup, shredded
Yellow onion 
1, chopped
Garlic 
2 cloves, minced
Ground beef 
1 lb
Salt 
to taste
Ground black pepper 
to taste
Tomato paste 
1 tbsp
Beef broth 
1 1/4 cup 
Tomato sauce 
1 (15-oz) can
Diced tomatoes 
1 (15-oz) can
Italian seasoning 
1 tbsp
Paprika 
1 tsp
Elbow macaroni 
1 1/2 cup
Parsley 
for garnish, chopped 
DIRECTIONS
  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet. Cook onion for 5 min, until soft. Add minced garlic cloves. Keep cooking for 1 minute. 
  2. Add beef; cook for 6 min, until the beef is no longer pink. Drain fat. Return the beef to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Add tomato paste. Stir. Add beef broth, tomato sauce, and tomatoes. Season with the paprika and seasoning. Add elbow macaroni. Bring to a simmer. Cook for 15 min, until the macaroni is tender. Add Cheddar. Stir. Remove from heat. 
  4. Before serving your American Goulash, garnish with chopped parsley.
