Baked Brussel Sprouts

This easy-to-cook summer dish should be brown with a bit of black on the outside when ready.

INGREDIENTS
Servings: 6
Brussels sprouts
1 ½ lbs., ends trimmed, yellow leaves removed
Olive oil
3 tbsp.
Kosher salt
1 tsp.
Black pepper
½ tsp., freshly ground
DIRECTIONS
  1. Heat the oven to 400° F/200° C/Gas Mark 6.
  2. Place all the ingredients in a resealable plastic bag, seal tightly, and shake until well-coated.
  3. Place the mixture on a baking sheet and put it on the central oven rack.
  4. Roast for 30 to 45 minutes. Shake every 5 to 7 minutes to help them brown evenly.
  5. When ready, the brussels sprouts are dark brown, almost black. To avoid burning, reduce the heat when necessary.
