One of the most delicious potato recipes you’ve ever tried! Although not the easiest one, it’s surely worth the effort!

INGREDIENTS
Servings: 6
Potatoes
4 cups, thinly sliced
Butter
3 tbsp.
Flour
3 tbsp.
Milk
1 ½ cups
Salt
1 tsp.
Cayenne pepper
1 dash
Sharp cheddar cheese
1 cup, grated
Cheese
½ cup, grated, to sprinkle
DIRECTIONS
  1. Heat the oven to 350° F/177° C/Gas Mark 4.
  2. Prepare a small saucepan. Add butter and melt it. Add flour and stir until smooth. Let the mixture sit for a minute.
  3. Add milk and stir well using a whisk. Season with salt and cayenne pepper.
  4. Cook on low until it’s smooth and starts to boil. Stir occasionally with a whisk.
  5. Reduce the heat, add cheese, and stir well.
  6. Lightly grease a one-quart casserole dish and put half of the potatoes in it.
  7. Pour half of the sauce over the potatoes.
  8. Repeat the process with another potato layer and the sauce. Sprinkle with cheese, top with paprika, and bake for about 1 hour.
