This homemade chocolate milk is so rich and creamy! If you want a lighter variant, add more milk.
INGREDIENTS

Milk
4 cups
Unsweetened cocoa powder
¼
Sugar
½ cup
Bittersweet chocolate
4 oz., chopped (can be replaced by semisweet chocolate)
Salt
1 pinch
Miniature marshmallows
Whipped cream (optional)
DIRECTIONS
- Add the first three ingredients (from milk to sugar) to a large heavy saucepan and bring the mixture to simmer over a medium-high heat. Whisk frequently.
- Add chocolate and keep whisking until it’s melted and smooth.
- Add salt, bring the mixture to a simmer, and whisk continuously until the texture becomes foamy.
- Pour into 4 mugs. Add marshmallows and whipped cream if necessary.
