This webbed cake is a super-easy way to make a themed dessert for your next Halloween party.

INGREDIENTS
Servings: 8
Chocolate cake
1 box
Unsalted butter
½ cup, softened
Confectioners' sugar
1 cup
Semisweet chocolate chips
1 ½ cup
Vanilla icing
1 tube
Marshmallow crème
7 1/2 oz. jar
Vanilla extract
1 tsp
Kosher salt
½ tsp
Heavy cream
¾ cup
DIRECTIONS
  1. Prepare two 9-inch cake pans by buttering and flouring them. Prepare batter according to the package instructions. Bake according to the instructions. Allow it to cool. 
  2. Place 1 cake on a platter. 
  3. With a hand mixer, beat unsalted butter, marshmallow crème, confectioners’ sugar, vanilla, and salt until fluffy.
  4. Top with the second cake.
  5. Heat heavy cream in a saucepan until bubbles. Place chips in a bowl. Pour over cream. Let it stand for about 2 minutes. Whisk to combine. Pour over the cake. 
  6. Frost a spiral of the butter mixture on top. With a toothpick, draw spiderweb. Enjoy your Spiderweb Cake!
