INGREDIENTS
Servings: 8
Dry ziti pasta
1 lb.
Onion
1, chopped
Ground beef
1 lb.
Spaghetti sauce
2 (26 oz.) jars
Provolone cheese
6 oz., sliced
Sour cream
1 ½ cups
Mozzarella cheese
6 oz., shredded
Parmesan
2 tbsp., grated
DIRECTIONS
  1. Add water to a large pot, season with salt, and bring it to a boil. Cook ziti for about 8 minutes or until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Add onion and beef to a large skillet and brown the ingredients.
  3. Add spaghetti sauce and let it simmer for 15 minutes.
  4. Heat the oven to 350° F/175° C/Gas Mark 4.
  5. Prepare a 9x13 baking dish and butter it.
  6. Place in layers: half the ziti, Provolone cheese, sour cream, ½ spaghetti sauce mixture, the second half of ziti, mozzarella cheese, and the rest of the sauce. Top with Parmesan.
  7. Transfer to the oven and bake for 30 minutes or until cheeses are melted.
