Baking cocoa
1/2 cup
Baking powder

Salt
1/2 tsp
Pure vanilla extract
2 tsps
Semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1 cup
Whipped cream
for garnish, optional
Ground cinnamon
1 tsp
Ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp
Granulated sugar
2 tbsps
Eggnog
1 2/3 cup
Large eggs

Butter
4 tbsps, melted
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat the waffle iron. Prepare it with non-stick cooking spray.
- In a bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, cocoa, ground cinnamon, baking powder, salt, nutmeg, and granulated sugar.
- Whisk together eggnog, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract in a separate bowl.
- Combine the eggnog mixture and the flour mixture. Stir until combined. Add morsels. Stir.
- Pour the batter into the prepared iron in batches. Cook according to manufacturer’s directions for 2 minutes per waffle, or until golden brown. Serve and enjoy your Chocolate Waffles!
