This prime rib is a truly show-stopping holiday dish!
INGREDIENTS
Servings: 12
Standing rib roast
1, room temperature
Salt
1 tbsp
Ground black pepper
2 tsp
Rosemary
1 bunch
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat the oven to 450° F (220° C/Gas mark 8).
- Cover the rib with salt and ground black pepper. Place the rib in a roasting pan fat-side up. Place 1/2 the rosemary in the bottom of the pan.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 40 minutes. Reduce the heat to 350° F (180° C/Gas mark 4). Roast for 1 hour 30 minutes (15 minutes per pound).
- Remove from the oven. Cover with aluminum foil. Allow to rest for 20 minutes. Serve with the remaining rosemary.
