INGREDIENTS

Okra, sliced in 1/4 inch pieces
10 pods
Egg, beaten
1
Salt
1/4 tsp
Ground black pepper
1/4 tsp
Vegetable oil
1/2 cup
Cornmeal
1 cup
DIRECTIONS
- Soak okra pieces in the egg for 10 minutes in a small bowl. Mix cornmeal, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl.
- In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high. Dredge okra pieces in the cornmeal and salt mixture. Add okra to the large skillet, stirring.
- When okra first starts to brown, reduce to medium and continue cooking until okra pieces turn golden. After that, drain okra on paper towels. Serve.
