INGREDIENTS
Servings: 4
Okra, sliced in 1/4 inch pieces 
10 pods
Egg, beaten 
1
Salt 
1/4 tsp
Ground black pepper 
1/4 tsp
Vegetable oil 
1/2 cup
Cornmeal 
1 cup
DIRECTIONS
  1. Soak okra pieces in the egg for 10 minutes in a small bowl. Mix cornmeal, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl. 
  2. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high. Dredge okra pieces in the cornmeal and salt mixture. Add okra to the large skillet, stirring.
  3. When okra first starts to brown, reduce to medium and continue cooking until okra pieces turn golden. After that, drain okra on paper towels. Serve.
